南唐（937～975年）复兴了六朝的城市繁华，进而为后来的明朝城市建设奠定了格局基础，是南京城市建设历史上一个重要的时期。筑城以卫君，造郭以守民，“城”与“市”结合。后主李煜的诗词和经历为南京历史留下意蕴无穷的文化气质。 - 关键词：
城市格局；都城选址；建城形制； - Abstract: South Tang Dynasty (937 - 975 A.D.) is an important period in Nanjing history. It renewed the thrive of Six Dynasty, not only in the culture but also in urban construction. And the development of Nanjing in the period provided the bases of city composition for Nanjing in Ming dynasty. The city expanded the wall not only for the emperor but for the people. The wall and market combined closely together. Emperor Liyu抯 poems left significant heritage for Nanjing tradition culture.
